As a mark of respect to former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, who passed away in the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, all government and private schools in Rajkot district will remain shut on Saturday. Rupani began his political career in Rajkot and represented the city as an MLA for multiple terms. He served as the Gujarat CM from 2016-2021.
