Randeep Hooda revealed to Mid-day that director Ram Gopal Varma asked him not take up any roles for 3 years. Randeep was initially part of RGV's film 'Ek', which was later scrapped. "He told me it's ['Ek'] not happening...[but] he said, 'I'll find a role and launch you'." He said that he collected ₹35,000 cheque every month for 3 years.
