A man accused of trapping and raping a schoolgirl was injured in a police encounter in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district. The accused, Shahnur Alam of Malak Pinjri village, allegedly opened fire at officers during arrest. Police retaliated, injuring him in the leg. Alam has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
