Doctors at a hospital in Pune successfully removed a rare 17 cm ectopic thyroid tumour from a 62-year-old woman's chest using robotic-assisted surgery. The tumour had no connection to the thyroid gland and was located near vital organs. The complex procedure was completed safely with minimal blood loss and a smooth recovery.
