India's most elusive and threatened wild cat, the rare caracal, has been camera-trapped within the fenced cheetah zone of Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary, Madhya Pradesh. The animal was seen thrice on July 1 at the same spot. It marks the first confirmed sighting of the ghost cat in nearly 20 years.
