A rare tornado was seen over Chilika Lake in Odisha on Friday, leaving tourists stunned. The massive tornado, also known as a waterspout, was seen southwest of the temple of Kalijai, Chilika’s presiding deity, while hundreds of tourists were enjoying themselves near the lake. The tornado, which is locally known as 'Haathisundh' (elephant’s trunk), lasted only a few minutes.
