The 54-year-old Ravindra Chavan, who was appointed working president of the Maharashtra BJP in January, has been appointed the party's state president. The post was previously held by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, who was appointed in August 2022. Reportedly, no other party functionary filed a nomination to be the president, making Chavan a unanimous choice.
