RBI on Monday appointed Usha Janakiraman as Executive Director with effect from December 1, 2025. She has over thirty years of experience at the apex bank, and before the appointment, she worked as the Chief General Manager-in-Charge of the Department of Regulation in Mumbai. In her new role, Janakiraman will look after the Department of Supervision.
