RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra has announced the MPC's decision to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.5%. This is the second consecutive time the central bank has kept the repo rate unchanged after June MPC meeting's decision to reduce the rate by 50 bps. The repo rate has been lowered by a total of 100 bps in 2025.
