Devaraj NT, a pani puri vendor, who lost his 20-year-old son in the stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, spoke about the ₹10 lakh ex-gratia announced by Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. "I'm ready to give ₹50 lakh...₹1 crore...Will they get my son back?" he asked. He said someone else picked up his son's phone when he called him after the stampede.
