The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a red alert for a heatwave in Delhi-NCR region over the next three days. This comes after temperatures in several areas reached nearly 45°C for second consecutive time this month, with Ayanagar station recording 45.3°C on Tuesday morning. Safdarjung registered 43.4°C, Palam recorded 44.3°C, while Lodhi Road saw 43.3°C, according to IMD.
