The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Palghar districts till Wednesday morning. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the flood situation in Mumbai and said that the next 48 hours will be crucial. Notably, Mumbai has been witnessing rainfall over the last three days, disrupting flight and local train services.
