Mere refusal to get married by a man after consensual physical relationship for four years wouldn't constitute a cognisable offence, Allahabad High Court said while rejecting the plea of his live-in partner who accused him of rape. The plea was filed by a woman challenging a previous order of the Additional District and Sessions Judge, who had rejected her complaint.
