Holding that a consensual relationship turning sour cannot be a ground for filing a rape case, the SC has acquitted a 25-year-old Maharashtra man, who allegedly had sex with a married woman on the false promise of marriage. The court allowed his appeal against the Bombay HC's order dismissing his petition seeking quashing of a criminal case against him.
