Renowned journalist and author Thayil Jacob Sony George, popularly known as TJS George, passed away at the age of 97 in Bengaluru on Friday. A Padma Bhushan awardee, he was born in Kerala to Magistrate TT Jacob and Chachiamma Jacob. His career spanned over six decades, during which he worked with The Free Press Journal and The New Indian Express.
