In a press conference about the two-slab GST structure, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was asked by a reporter about GST being called "Gabbar Singh Tax". She replied, "During their tenure, Congress believed implementing GST was impossible because states didn't trust the central government. That's why they couldn't implement it." She asked if Congress wants 5% GST for tobacco products.
