Researchers have developed a special kind of dental floss by converting it into a needle-free vaccine. The researchers asked 27 healthy volunteers to floss with dental picks coated with coloured food dye. On average, around 60% of the dye was delivered to the participants’ gums. When tested on mice, floss successfully delivered 75% of the protein to the mice's gumlines.
