Vertex Pharmaceuticals CEO Reshma Kewalramani has become the only Indian-origin woman on Fortune's 100 Most Powerful People in Business list. She moved to the US at the age of 11, pursued her medical degree from Boston University and the General Management Program from Harvard Business School. Kewalramani joined Vertex in 2017 and served as Chief Medical Officer before becoming CEO.
