A retired police officer, Praveen Yashwant Patil (58), was brutally assaulted by three youths in Pune's Dhankawadi after he asked them to move their haphazardly parked bikes. He sustained serious injuries to his face and head. A case has been registered at the Sahakarnagar Police Station. Two of the accused have been detained.
