Scientists have recently conducted the most extensive analysis to date of the genetic makeup of the Indian population. This study, which analyzed 2,762 high-coverage genomes from India, is the most significant modern whole-genome analysis ever performed in South Asia. The results of this study offer a comprehensive survey of the genetic variation present in India.
