The Supreme Court has asked the High Courts to issue a circular to the respective district judiciaries with respect to the expeditious proceedings in every inquiry or trial. It remarked that the practice of conducting trials on a day-to-day basis, particularly in important/sensitive cases as was the tradition about 30 years ago has been given a complete go-by.
