Rishab Shetty's Kantara Chapter 1 has stormed the box office, crossing ₹300 crore within its first week despite competition from Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. To mark the success, Rishab visited Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple dressed in white, thanking photographers and fans. Made on a ₹125 crore budget, the film's Hindi version alone earned ₹102 crore.
