Rohit Arya, who held 17 children hostage at a Mumbai studio, had installed motion-detection sensors and CCTV cameras on all doors and windows to detect any police movement, CNN-News18 reported. Investigators said he even redirected all CCTV cameras to one side so the studio's inside couldn't be monitored. Arya, a YouTuber and former schoolteacher, was shot dead by the police.
