Rohit Sharma, who was recently replaced as India ODI captain by Shubman Gill, was never in the selectors' plans for 2027 ODI World Cup, according to a report. The plan to hand over the ODI captaincy to Gill had been made much earlier, the report added. In May, Rohit had said he wants to play the next ODI World Cup.
