The sequel to Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Rowdy Rathore' has reportedly been scrapped after three years of development due to lack of commitment from Disney India, which co-owns the rights. The script of this film, which would have been titled 'Rowdy Rathore 2', will be repurposed into making independent film outside of the franchise. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was one of its producers.
