A 29-year-old Russian swimmer, Nikolai Svechnikov, went missing during an open-water race in Turkey. He reportedly failed to reach the finish line of the 6.5-km Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swim on Sunday, which featured over 2,800 athletes from 81 countries. Organisers said Svechnikov may have suffered fatigue or been carried away by currents. However, his relatives claimed he was in good health.
