Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) shares rose by 1.1% after securing a Letter of Award worth 143.37 crore from Southern Railway. The project involves upgrading the electric traction system from 1x25 kV to 2x25 kV across key sections in the Salem division. This upgrade aims to support a 3,000 MT loading target, boosting RVNLs order book.
