South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and US President Donald Trump will hold their first summit in Washington on August 25 to strengthen their security alliance and expand economic security ties. Talks will cover defence cooperation, regional stability, and boosting manufacturing collaboration in semiconductors and batteries on last month's tariff deal, presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung said.
