South Korea will hold a snap presidential election on June 3. This comes after the impeachment and removal of President Yoon Suk Yeol, who declared martial law in December 2024. All major opinion polls indicae that Lee Jae-myung is leading the presidential race, with a recent Gallup survey showing 49% of respondents identifying him as most suitable contender, AFP reported.
