The Sarvatrika Arogya Andolana – Karnataka (SAA-K), a coalition of 30 networks fighting for ‘Health for All’, has welcomed the state government’s move to close down Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras (PMBJKs) functioning on the premises of government institutions. However, the coalition said closure of 180 PMBJKs was only a first step towards truly universal and free healthcare access.
