Reacting to Sabarimala sponsor Unnikrishnan Potty's 2019 mail to Travancore Devaswom Board in which he expressed desire to use remaining gold for a wedding, Kerala High Court said it is "deeply disturbing". The court, while talking about Sabarimala "missing gold" case, said there is possibility that original gold cladding on Dwarapalaka idols in temple was sold and proceeds were misappropriated.
