Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar addressed the controversy surrounding the renaming of Pataudi Trophy to Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. He clarified the decision to retire the original trophy was made by BCCI and ECB. "I was determined to ensure...the legacy was kept intact," he said, adding that he spoke to both boards and winning captain will now be awarded Pataudi Medal of Excellence.
