South Korean prosecutors have requested a five-year jail term for Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Y Lee over his actions in a controversial merger of the company's affiliates that helped solidify his control. Lee was found not guilty of accounting fraud and stock manipulation, following which prosecutors appealed the ruling. Prosecutors said Lee acted at the expense of shareholders and investors.
