Sanae Takaichi was on Tuesday elected as Japan's first female Prime Minister. Takaichi will be the country's fourth Prime Minister in five years. Takaichi, who had promised to appoint more women to her cabinet and narrow Japan's wide gender gap in politics, will reportedly appoint Satsuki Katayama as Japan's first female Finance Minister.
