Satyapal Malik, who died on Tuesday (August 5) in Delhi, was the governor of J&K when Article 370 was abrogated on August 5, 2019. The state of J&K was split into two Union Territories - J&K and Ladakh. Malik, who later went on to become the Governor of Goa and Meghalaya, passed away at a hospital at 1:10 pm.
