Savita Punia has become the second Indian female hockey player after Vandana Katariya to play 300 international matches. She achieved the milestone during a match against the Netherlands in FIH Hockey Pro League 2024-25 at Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Odisha on Monday. Punia also became the second Indian goalkeeper to play 300 international matches after PR Sreejesh.
