The Supreme Court has acquitted a woman accused of killing her children after finding the testimony of a shop owner, who made the allegations, to be unreliable. The prosecution claimed the woman, seen in a disoriented state, took her children toward a water body, where they were later found floating. The Apex Court held that the shop owner's testimony could be treated as hearsay evidence.
