The Supreme Court has quashed an FIR registered in a case dealing with the complainant’s claim for reimbursement of the remaining amount towards the works executed in furtherance of a contract. The Court criticised the attempts of the over-zealous litigants in trying to settle their civil disputes by misusing the police machinery and resorting to criminal proceedings.
