Animal welfare organisations have strongly condemned Supreme Court’s order on removal of stray dogs from public places and educational institutions. "This directive is unsustainable and counter-productive, since it lacks consideration of the law established by Parliament, the infrastructure of our public institutions and lives of street dogs in India," stated Humane World for Animals India (HWAI).
