The Supreme Court on Monday ordered the Centre to immediately resume the MGNREGA scheme in West Bengal and asked it to release funds for the same. The apex court ordered this while upholding the Calcutta High Court’s order for the immediate resumption of MGNREGA across the state from August 1. The Centre had challenged the High Court’s ruling.
