The Supreme Court observed that for grant of interim injunction in trademark cases, there are multiple interrelated factors: prima facie case, likelihood of confusion, relative merits of the parties’ claims, balance of convenience, risk of irreparable harm, and public interest. It said that grant of injunction for infringement or passing off, is governed by equitable principles.
