The Supreme Court has granted an opportunity of hearing to Amit Aishwarya Jogi, son of Ajit Jogi-former CM of Chhattisgarh in a case involving murder of NCP leader Ramavatar Jaggi. It reiterated that the right of a victim to prefer an appeal against acquittal under proviso to Section 372 CrPC arises only in respect of acquittal orders passed after 31st December, 2009.
