The Supreme Court has granted ₹50 lakh compensation to a J&K police constable in brutal custodial torture case and has also directed the CBI to conduct probe into this. Allegedly, his genital organs and testicles were amputated, pepper was sprinkled on his private parts, and he was given electric shocks which led to a fracture of his foot.
