For the first time in history, Supreme Court has implemented a reservation policy in direct appointment and promotion of SC and ST staff working in the court. The new policy allocates a 15% and 7.5% quota for SC and ST employees, respectively. The policy is for posts like senior personal assistants, assistant librarians, junior court assistants and chamber attendants.
