Reacting to the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said, "The incident must be thoroughly investigated." He added, "A sitting or retired Supreme Court judge should be appointed to probe the Ahmedabad Air India crash. The truth must come out." The flight, carrying 242 passengers and crew, crashed into a residential area shortly after take-off.
