The Supreme Court on Wednesday overruled the Madras High Court's July 31 order barring the use of Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin's name in state government schemes. The court also fined the petitioner, AIADMK MP C Ve Shanmugam, with ₹10 lakh, for targeting one political party and one political leader, when such schemes exist in other states as well.
