Supreme Court has ordered ex-Bihar MLA Avinash Kumar Singh to pay nearly ₹21 lakh house rent for overstaying at a government accommodation in Patna even after he ceased to be the MLA. The apex court said, "One should not hold on to government accommodation endlessly." It also directed Singh to "pay interest of 6% per annum on the said amount."
