Supreme Court for the first time summoned EVMs on its premises and ordered a complete recount of votes for a sarpanch election in Haryana, which led to the reversal of results. Kuldeep Singh was initially declared the winner of the sarpanch election in Buana Lakhu village in 2022. However, Mohit Kumar challenged the result, alleging discrepancies in the vote counting.
