The Supreme Court on Friday allowed certified manufacturers to produce green firecrackers in Delhi-NCR but banned their sale in the region. The court also directed the Centre to take a decision on banning the sale and storage of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR by October 8. Only manufacturers certified by NEERI and PESO will be permitted, the court added.
