The Supreme Court on Friday declined to stay the trial against Lalu Prasad Yadav in the land-for-jobs scam, offering no relief to the former Bihar Chief Minister. However, it said the 77-year-old need not appear personally before the court during the trial. The bench also directed the High Court to expedite the hearing of his petition.
